Julie Iqbal asked:
Hello. I would like to know if ICD-9 is still being used for coding? Or is it now only ICD-10?
Answer:
You may run into ICD-9 if doing audits on past dates of service but most payers have switched. I have heard some workers comp states did not make the switch when everyone else did - 1/2 did. Not sure if they"ve all finally switched or not. Here is a related article http://www.healthcarefinancenews.com/news/many-states-will-not-convert-icd-10-workers-comp-claims
