First off; congratulations on obtaining your CPC credential. We are happy that we were able to take part in your journey. Secondly; how many years of experience do you have in coding? Unlike AAPC exams; there are criteria that an applicant needs to meet in order to sit for the exam. Have you reviewed those yet? Also; I would recommend you purchasing AHIMAs CCS preparation book.
For this exam; as will every exam; is practice; practice; practice...I found that this was the greatest preparation method for this exam. Review the exam breakdown that is included in the CCS exam preparation book and on their website. I found the breakdown to be an excellent tool in my preparations for the CCS exam. It is crucial that you understand the rationales! The questions on the real exam will be similar in nature but not word-for-word; so that is why you need to understand the rationale.
