I coded the B95.62 M_Resistant_SA since the document said the wound had "failed to respond to IV antibiotics." To me that sounds like Resistant. Answer on page 472 gives B95.61 MSSA. Answer:

cannot assume. Just because the medication they used did not work does not mean it is resistant to all antibiotics. They are documenting that it did not work and explaining why they need to prolong care and try another.
